Will Smith Claims He Doesn’t Watch His Wife’s Facebook Series: The Red Table Talk

A somehow shocking, unexpected but understandable response was given by Will Smith when asked about his wife, Jada Pickett Smith’s show: the Red Table Talk. Genuinely, Will Smith said he adores his wife and support her in all she does, but when it comes to the show which Jada started just last year, he’s not a fan of it, though he still very much supports her.

According to him, the show is “fantastic”, but you shouldn’t just ask him to watch it. The talk show which premiered last year, May 7 on Facebook Watch with Jada Pickett Smith, Willow Smith (their daughter) and Jada’s mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris as the hosts entered into its second season less than three weeks ago. It is an Avenue or forum where the views, perspective, and the idea of three women of different age class are shared on a wide range of social, relationship, and lifestyle issues.

The show during its first season featured a lot of celebrities who cracked down several issues on different episodes relating to sex, mental illness, divorce, inter-racial marriages, love and more. Funny enough, in October, Will Smith featured on the show himself in an episode titled “Becoming Mr. and Mrs. Smith”. Perhaps there are some episodes Will really can’t imagine himself sitting down to watch due to the discussions they hold on the show. It might really get embarrassing when the family dives into personal issues.

One of such events occurred when Jada got way too real and honest on a recent episode of the show, by opening up that she actually had an addiction for porn. Yeah, she actually did open up and spilled that out confidently while her mother and daughter where both listening. She said:

Back in the day, I had a little porn addiction, but I wasn’t in a relationship. Believe it or not…thank goodness,

Further, she added:

I actually feel like I was using ‘addiction’ a little lightly. And maybe I’ll say now that I had an unhealthy relationship to porn at one point in my life where I was trying to practice abstinence.

On the same line of a sort of confession, Willow also opened up about her she also started watching porn on Tumble when she was about 11 years old. And feeling surprised at the words from the two, the eldest of the three women, Jada’s mother said on the show that she couldn’t believe she’s having such conversation with her daughter and granddaughter. This could perhaps be one of the reasons why Will Smith doesn’t watch the show.

While on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Will Smith claimed that the topics of the discussions held on the show were never run by him before they share everything with the world. He said:

No, I don’t watch it. They’re telling all our business. It’s actually fantastic, the episodes I could bear. And they sit down, and it is really wide open, raw conversation across generations about a cornucopia of topics.

Upon hearing this, Jimmy played on Will’s word “cornucopia” by joking that “even a pornocopia of topics”, to which Will responded,

“Absolutely, yeah, porn addiction I think was the topic. Yeah, there was one of those. They all go into a blur, you know.”
