Victoria Beckham on Wednesday, Oct 16 opened up on what’s it
like being married for 20 years to her former footballer husband,
David Beckham, juggling her role as a mother of four with her thriving design
and now beauty product career.
The 44-year-old designer, while making an appearance on
American TV Today talked about getting older and how she has
been able to ensure her family is a “cohesive unit.”
“The kids are our priority. Everything we do revolves around the children,” the former spice girl tells presenter Hoda Kotb after being asked what she believes the “secret sauce” is when it comes to her marriage.
She had given birth to four children, Brooklyn 20, Romeo 17,
Cruz 14 and Harper 8 since her marriage to her hubby David 20 years ago.
“We both work really very hard. And we love what we do
professionally.” The stylish fashion designer then added, she and her husband
“support each other”, and “feel very lucky to have found each other and lucky
that we’re growing together.”
Interestingly, Brooklyn Beckham is currently pursuing a
career in Photography which included shots for Notion and Man About Town
magazines.
Reminiscing what it was like the first time she and her
husband met over 20 years ago, the fashion entrepreneur recalls it being “love
at first sight.”
Kotb further quizzed her about how she manages her family
busy schedules while still maintaining the tight, cohesive unit on the home
front.
“Communication is key,” she stressed. “David and I are very present in the kids’ lives.”
“You know, we love our family. Everything we do revolves
around our family. And I think it’s just being focused, working hard and having
a great support team around us.
Both of our parents are very, very present and help with the
kids.”
Meanwhile, in another news, David and the kids were on hand
to support Victoria at her London Fashion Week show back in September. Fans
caught sight of the footballer star and his children as they sat on the front
row cheering Victoria on as she debuted her Spring/Summer 2020 collection.
And as expected, she has the full support of her family as
she adds another product line to her thriving business. The Victoria Beckham
Beauty’s lip line with six lip shades and one lip-tin which was released
Wednesday morning.
Talking about her obsession with the perfect nude lip liner,
Victoria acknowledged her love for the lip line shade dates back to her days in
the Spice Girls.
She further added that she, in fact, shares some of her other
products with David.
“Not the lip liner [though],” she joked. “We share skin products, beauty products. So, we’ll share moisturizers and face masks and that sort of thing.”
