The Oscars pre-show will air on the ABC network prior to the award function. It will list down and celebrate all the nominees in various genres. Unlike the awards themselves, the pre-show is not necessarily known for having any controversial moments like wrong announcements, anyone getting offended, or physical violence. These are usually just fun informative appetizer that comes before the usually drama-filled main course.

Vanessa Hudgens will be hosting the pre-show for the second time consecutively. She is very well known for her roles in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, which also stars Dwayne ‘The Rock Johnson. She also starred in the musical and biopic starring Andrew Garfield Tick, Tick … Boom. The 90-minute show will air at 6:30 P.M. PT. Hudgens also has hosting experience from last year’s MTV Movie and TV Awards.

Along with Hudgens is  Lilly Singh. Originally a YouTuber, Singh is an Indian-Canadian star who started working with the pseudonym Superwoman. She was recognized by Forbes as the third highest-paid YouTuber back in 2016 when she was earning around $7.5 million. Singh was also the host of her own late-night talk show on NBC called A Little Late With Lilly Singh.

Ashley Graham is a model as well as a TV presenter who was a backstage host for beauty pageants such as Miss USA and Miss Universe. She was also a judge for America’s Next Top Model. Clearly, all three women are well equipped with their hosting talents to make sure the pre-shows are a total blast before the big evening begins.

The pre-show will be executive produced by  David Chamberlin and Michael Antinoro and Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner.
