It’s
been a huge year for cinema, and it’s fair to say that Disney has been hugely
successful. However, the year’s not over. For the last time in 2019, let’s take
a look at what’s still to come on the movie calendar!
Star
Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (20th December)
Firstly,
how could we start anywhere else than with the final instalment of the latest Star Wars trilogy? For the last time,
J.J. Abrams put on his director’s hat and fans all over the world are excited
to see how everything will end. It has been a turbulent time for the Star Wars
team after the death of both Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. Of course, Carrie
Fisher, Princess Leia, also passed away in real life. Could we see the return
of Skywalker or Solo? Will there be an emotional return of Fisher with
previously-shot footage? We can’t wait to find out.
Frozen
2 (22nd November)
If
you’re looking for something for your children, we reckon they’ll be just a
little excited about Frozen 2. Whether your child enjoyed the first a
few years ago or this will be their first, the tale continues just in time for
early Christmas celebrations. This time, Elsa and her sister travel far away
from Arendelle for a new adventure.
Jumanji:
The Next Level (13th December)
Back
in the 1990s, Jumanji swept the nation and
Robin Williams made us all smile yet again with a brilliant film about an
enchanted, and very dangerous, board game. In 2017, the series returned with
Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, and Kevin Hart. After a great
reception, a third movie has now been made and the four return for another
adventure next month.
As
you can see, the world of cinema doesn’t slow down for the end of the year.
There are still some amazing films to enjoy in 2019, and you also might find a
new favorite in the following;
