Top 5 Former Disney Stars – Net Worth

For many years, Disney has been putting smiles on faces all over the world. Whether through books, movies, TV shows, or their entertainment parks, the brand is instantly recognizable, and their classic movies are still getting reboots to this day (have you seen The Lion King yet?).

Additionally, they’ve been able to launch some of the biggest stars in today’s popular culture. This begs just one question; who has been the most successful

Hilary Duff ($25 million)

Back in 2001, Lizzie McGuire graced our screens for the first time and Hilary Duff has been a prominent figure ever since. The show ran for three years (and had a movie, who can forget?), but Duff’s career went from strength to strength. She has appeared in;

  • A Cinderella Story
  • Gossip Girl
  • Younger
  • Raise Your Voice
  • According to Greta

Demi Lovato ($33 million)

Back in 2008, a young Demi Lovato led Camp Rock, a film that was instantly popular on the Disney Channel. While starring in Camp Rock 2 and Sonny with a Chance, Lovato was also launching a music career.

To date, she has released a total of six studio albums, has a global fan base, and has been involved in plenty of other projects besides.

Raven Symoné ($55 million)

When there was speculation that That’s So Raven was coming back, everybody was suddenly taken back to their youth and it’s fair to say the idea was well-received. Although Raven appeared in Hangin’ with Mr Cooperand The Cosby Show, she made her name on the Disney Channel and even went on to host The View for a short while in 2015.

Selena Gomez ($75 million)

Starting as a guest on Hannah Montana, Gomez eventually bagged her own leading role on Wizards of Waverly Place, which aired for five years. From here, she moved across to the movie screen with titles such as Monte CarloThe Fundamentals of Caring, and The Dead Don’t Die. However, it’s on stage that Gomez has made her name.

Selena Gomez & the Scene disbanded, but this didn’t deter her as she went on to have two albums reach the top spot in the charts. On top of this, Selena’s had seven singles in the top 10 and continues to work on new music.

Miley Cyrus ($160 million)

Leading the pack by quite some margin, do we really need to introduce Miley Cyrus? With seven studio albums, plenty of touring, and as a constant presence in the celeb gossip columns, Miley can’t stay away from our attention. She’s even gone back to acting with The Last Song and an episode of Black Mirror

Notable Mentions

Of course, these aren’t the only five to find success after starting with Disney (or at least rising to fame with the brand). Here’s some notable mentions;

  • The Jonas Brothers – $75 million
  • Shia LaBeouf – $25 million
  • Zac Efron – $24 million
