Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness” is the latest docuseries making waves on Netflix in this period.

“Tiger King” is a seven-episode series that debuted March 20, and follows the story of “Joe Exotic” (real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage). The show ends with the 22-year sentencing of “Joe Exotic” which took place January this year.

Now several months have passed since the sentencing, so here is where the stars are at present:

“Joe Exotic” aka Tiger King

“Joe Exotic” is currently serving out his 22-year sentence in prison after he was found guilty of taking part in a murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin. The assassin eventually did not carry out the act.

According to reports, the “Tiger King” has filed a $94 million lawsuit against various government agencies.

“Joe Exotic” who is presently in his late 50s, is also asking for almost $74 million in 18 years of research, loss of property as well as the full care of 200 crossbreeds and generic tigers. Besides, he wants $15 million for false imprisonment, false arrest, selective enforcement, as well as the death of Shirley, his mother.

Mahamayavi Bhagavan “Doc” Antle

“Doc” Antle is another big cat advocate known for a stunning wildlife park, and still running T.I.G.E.R. (The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species).

Antle was said to have performed on stage alongside Britney spears during the superstar’s iconic 2001 VMA performance. He was seen in a cage with Spears and a breeding result of a male lion and a female tiger known as a “liger” at the beginning of the stage performance.

Carole Baskin

Carole Baskin, Joe Exotic’s enemy, may still be running Big Cat Rescue, but she is not happy with the hit Netflix series.

Recently, Baskin shared a blog post on her site, which was titled “Refuting Netflix Tiger King”. She addressed a segment in the docuseries in which it was implied that she had a hand in the disappearance of her then-husband in 1997.

Baskin also used the blog post to address the heavy criticism she has received since the documentary was aired.

John Finlay

He was married to “Joe Exotic” for some years, but viewers learned that Finlay is straight and has moved on from the relationship.

Finlay and Stormy, his wife currently run “The Truth About John Finlay” a Facebook page where he regularly posts updates about his new life which includes getting a new set of teeth.

Rick Kirkham

He was in charge of developing a reality TV series based on “Joe Exotic.” He spent a significant amount of time filming at his zoo, though the footage eventually perished in a fire.

A Facebook page that seems to belong to Rick Kirkham often tags his wife Kristin E. Rosøy Kirkham and Norway (Bodø) as his location.

Jeff Lowe

Jeff Lowe is a businessman who participated in the Netflix series to help out “Joe Exotic” at his zoo, which is known as Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park. Lowe is presently the owner of the zoo, with plans to open a new one in Oklahoma this spring.
