The Mandalorian expands on the Star Wars universe as Pedro Pascal, cloaked in the Mandalorian outfit, travels worlds bounty hunting for prizes. He comes across Grogu, a character initially mistaken for a young Yoda. The Mandalorian is heading into a very exciting third season. The season goes live on Wednesday on Disney Plus as the beloved duo of Mando and Grogu surf around the planet Mandalore to do what they do best. However, die-hard fans will recognize the planet from the source material—the comics. The planet was also featured in the animated series. But there’s more than what meets the eye.
Mandalorian’s Word And Season 2
The Mandalorian warns that it would be a grave mistake to think of the people of Mandalore as a single race. They all live by a code. The code is combat and a fight with one single motto— “This is the way.”
The Mandalorian is brought to the planet to fight for its control. The war is going to rage, and it’s not going to be pretty. The rocky world is covered in domed cities, an advanced civilization that lives by the rule of the fist. It has been relevant in the many adaptations of Star Wars, be it novels, comics, or other forms of media. However, this will be the first time the planet is being explored in terms of the screen.
This isn’t the only time The Mandalorian is exposing long-time fans to old unexplored characters and places. In season 2, the show brought forth Bo-Katan Kryze, a character who has frequented the animated series and was voiced by Katee Sackhoff. The character is going to be instrumental in the struggle for power in Mandalore. We will only know more as the third season of The Mandalorian drops.
