Sesame Street is the kids’ show famous for its off-beat characters and short, fun storylines. Could you imagine that show actually crossing paths with something so ‘grown-up’ as The Masked Singer? Well, it all happened for sure. In the latest episode of the secret celebrity singing show, fan-favorite characters like Elmo, Count von Count, and Cookie Monster showed up.

Beware of upcoming spoilers for the show as we go on about the latest episode where judges correctly guessed the true identities of some people dressed up in costumes. The masks were removed after many clues and faces were all out in the open.

Who’s Under The Mask?

All the Sesame Street friends performed BTS’ Dynamite on stage as a starter for the rest of the evening. The judge’s panel included Ken Jeon, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, and Robin Thicke. The first performer was the champion of the show, Squirrel, who presented the judges with a wedding dress and asked them to “Say yes to the guess.”

She then went on to sing Just the Two of Us by Grover Washington Jr. NFL played Damar Hamlin was later brought on the stage and said that his little brother loved Sesame Street, and that was the reason Hamlin had decided to show up for the performances. He would go on to give judge Ken Jeon a football to his face as a clue.

Squirrel then insinuated that she and Jeong had worked together before saying:

“Ken, this isn’t the first time we’ve worked together, but it is the first time you’ve had more lines,” Squirrel said, adding that she and the comedic actor have worked together “maybe more than once.”

Based on these clues, the judges decided that Squirrel was either Malin Akerman, Anne Hathaway, Katherine Heigl, or Kate Hudson. Later on, their guess turned out to be true as Squirrel was revealed to be Malin Akerman.
