R. Kelly Pleads Not Guilty.

Singer R. Kelly has pleaded not guilty in his recent hearing at the federal court in Chicago and so far, all we know that the judge has tilled he would still be held without any bond. 

The U.S attorney has said in a statement which was disclosed to E! News which went like this “Mr. Kelly pleaded not guilty to the charges awaiting in Chicago,” the U.S. Attorney started. “Judge Leinenweber denied bond so he’ll remain detained in federal custody.”

It was on a Thursday night when he was arrested for what he’s been arrested total several times now, which are sex-related crimes in both states which include obstruction of justice and child pornography. He has also been charged by federal prosecutors in New York with kidnapping, racketeering, sexual exploitation of children, forced labor of children and so much more according to a report. 

So far, Robert Kelly faces a large number of sexual abuse allegations piled with those he has been accused of over the years and just as till present; he had denied them all. Although the claims died down after a while, they came back to light again after a documentary series titled surviving R. Kelly where more allegations were brought up and his previous abuse accusations where revisited. 

R. Kelly Charge Counts

It was established that over 13 count indictments were held by the singer which include child pornography, obstruction of justice, and enticement of a minor. It was stated that he had engaged in forms of sexual acts and contacts with a total of five victims who were between the ages of 12 and 17, Making them all minors by the law. 

Let’s not forget he recorded himself engaging in a sexual act with certain minors and caught it on video and so far there are a total of four videos showing him in this act. He has also been accused of paying off witnesses and victims to not cooperate with the police when asked and sometimes the use of violence and threats as he feels dims fit.

According to more documents, the victims of such acts were usually isolated from family and friends and would then have to depend on the singer for their financial needs. There are allegations of him creating rules for his sexual partners, for them from leaving their rooms or going to places without his permission and also prohibiting them from looking at other men and wearing baggy clothes to hide their bodies. They were also expected to call him “daddy.”

“A bail hearing will be held early next week, at which time Mr. Kelly hopes to be released from custody,” Greenberg told the press “There will be no further comment until that time.”

As at 2008, Kelly was charged with child pornography and was acquitted and even with the videotape allegations showing him in sexual acts with a minor, he hasn’t been prosecuted yet. So we wait to see the total outcome of this and hope he gets what he deserves.
