Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating the birthday of their daughter, Princess Charlotte, today. They kicked off the birthday celebrations of their daughter early on Friday by releasing several photos of the adorable little one on Instagram.

The Amateur Photographer

The Duchess of Cambridge took the pictures of Princess Charlotte on the grounds of Sandringham Estate last month where the family was packing and delivering food for isolated people – mostly pensioners – or in self-quarantine in the surrounding area amid the global novel coronavirus pandemic, Kensington Palace said.

The candid photos which were shared to the Kensington Royal’s official Instagram account on Friday, showed the Princess sifting through a box to pack things and going up to the door of someone’s home to deliver food packages. And those photos reveal her most grown-up role yet.

Posted beneath the beautiful images was the caption: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share four new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fifth birthday tomorrow.

“The images were taken by The Duchess as the family helped to pack up and deliver food packages for isolated pensioners in the local area.”

What Princess Charlotte Shares in Common with Prince Louis

Princess Charlotte’s photos share one thing in common with Prince Louis’ birthday photos. The toddler, who is the younger brother of Princess Charlotte, also celebrated his second birthday just last week.

Prince Louis Photos: A Tribute to Healthcare Workers

As Princess Charlotte’s photos were shown, revealing her actions as she helps in packing food and supplies for people in isolation, Prince Louis’ birthday pictures were taken to pay tribute to hundreds of healthcare workers battling it out on the frontlines of the fight against the coronavirus.

In the photos, Louis had a rainbow-colored paint on his hands and made a rainbow print on a sheet of paper. Children’s drawings of rainbows have come to be taken as a symbol of hope amid the fight against COVID-19.

Even the Queen mentioned rainbows during her historic address in April. The Queen said: “The moments when the United Kingdom has come together to applaud its care and essential workers will be remembered as an expression of our national spirit, and its symbol will be the rainbows drawn by children.”

Remote Learning and “Clap for Carers”

As the novel coronavirus pandemic continues to spread and keep businesses and local schools closed, the same went for the school Princess Charlotte attends alongside the 6-year-old Prince George, her older brother. The schooling of the royal kids has turned to remote learning.

Just last week, Princess Charlotte joined her siblings, Prince George and Prince Louis along with her royal parents in the touching “Clap for Carers” initiative which swept fast across the United Kingdom and other regions worldwide in recognition of the astounding effort of first responders and healthcare professionals currently battling the novel virus.

The Royal Family Anniversary

William, 37, and Middleton, 38 celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary on Wednesday, April 29. It commemorated the big day by sharing a photo from their high-profile, royal wedding at Westminster Abbey in London back in 2011.
