Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Ex, Dies of Suspected Drug Overdose

Nick Gordon, who was once Bobbi Kristina Brown’s partner, and was held liable for her death, is dead. He was just 30 years old.

Joe S. Habachy, Gordon’s attorney, confirmed this incident in a statement that he released to the press earlier today. However, the Atlanta-based attorney did not disclose the cause of death.

Suspected Drug Overdose

But according to reports, Gordon may have died from an alleged drug overdose. This comes after it was discovered that the young man who the late pop diva, Whitney Houston raised “like a son” had a series of heart attacks.

The heart attacks came after Gordon was rushed to a hospital – the intensive care unit – in Florida on New Year’s Eve. Despite the best efforts of medical doctors, they were not able to revive him.

Gordon’s Loved Ones Thrown into Sudden Mourning

His loved ones heard of the sad news of his demise early on New Year’s Day. Junior Walker, Gordon’s brother, broke the news of Gordon’s death on social media. He’s quoted as saying “God, why did I have to lose my brother on New Year’s Day? All I can do is cry.”

Gordon and His Link to Bobbi Kristina Brown

Gordon and the only daughter of music stars, Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina were lovers for a while. His death comes almost 5 years after Kristina was found lying face-down in a bathtub and was utterly unresponsive on January 2015. She later passed away after spending 6 months in a coma.

However, investigators working from the medical examiner’s office were not able to pin down Bobbi Kristina’s exact cause of death. According to an autopsy report, the late Kristina’s body was pumped full of cocaine, morphine, prescription drugs, and alcohol. No one could determine whether she killed herself or if her death was purely accidental or someone else killed her.

But all eyes were on Nick Gordon as the most likely murder suspect as he was notorious for being a “controlling” fiancé. Kristina’s family blamed Gordon for her death. They bitterly accused him of giving his late fiancée a bucketload of a “toxic cocktail” before placing her face down in the bathtub.

Although Gordon did not face criminal charges for the death of Kristina, he was still held – by law – responsible for her unfair death. Gordon was ordered by an Atlanta judge to pay $36 million to Kristian Brown’s estate.

How the Late Diva Unofficially “Adopted” Gordon

The late Whitney Houston introduced Gordon into her household at the age of 12. He was an orphan, and after she divorced Bobby Brown in 2007, she proceeded to raise Gordon and her daughter, Kristina.

Gordon, perhaps in appreciation for Whitney’s kind gesture, wore a large tattoo of the music legend’s face on his arm. He was known to always refer to Houston as “Mom,” even though the singer never fully or officially adopted him.

This became more evident when it was discovered that Houston did not include Gordon in her will. After the singer’s death, Gordon and Kristina informed the public of their newfound love.
