At
this time of year, it’s all about cozying up in front of the fire with a hot
chocolate and a classic Christmas movie on the TV. However, we know that there
are some of you out there looking forward to new TV shows and seasons.
Therefore, we’ve got a list of what’s coming up…there’s plenty of great TV to
be had!
The
Witcher (Netflix) – December 20th
We’ve
read the books, we’ve played the video games, and now The
Witcher
comes to TV through Netflix. With Henry Cavill playing the lead role, Geralt of
Rivia, the show will follow the monster hunter as he meets young princess Ciri
and sorceress Yennefer.
You
(Netflix) – December 26th
If
you’re full up with Christmas food and need something to watch on Boxing Day,
we’re sure you won’t be alone with You. In fact, millions of people around the globe
are expected to tune in for the return of Joe and the You story.
The
Bachelor (ABC) – January 6th
Onto
reality TV, the New Year will see the return of The Bachelor…for the
24th season.
Known for his antics with Bachelorette Hannah Brown and for his time as a
pilot, the bachelor will be Peter Weber, and we can’t wait to see what happens
in the famous mansion.
NCIS
(CBS) – January 7th
This
show needs no introduction, and the fan favorite will be returning to our
screens on January 7th. It seems Ziva David will appear in two episodes in
Season 17’s second half. But there’s a question we all have; will Tony DiNozzo
do the same?
Ellen’s Game of Games (NBC) – January 7th
If
you like daytime games, you’ll love this new show from Ellen as she takes these
games and transforms them into evening entertainment. Premiering at 8pm, these
supersized games will be great fun after a long day back at work after New
Year.
Schitt’s Creek (POP) – January 7th
In
case we didn’t already have enough to watch on January 7th, we all have
Schitt’s Creek coming back for the final time. If you haven’t watched the show previously,
now is the time to start considering it got four Emmy nominations earlier this
year. Can you finish the first five seasons before it returns next month?
Modern
Family (ABC) – January 8th
Talking
of final seasons, we come to Modern Family and Season 11. After years of making
us laugh, and watching
the kids grow into young adults
(and beyond, in some cases!), Modern Family comes to a conclusion early next
year.
The
Goldbergs (ABC) – January 15th
Although
Adam F Goldberg may not be at the top of the tree at The Goldbergs anymore, the
show continues in January as the seventh season returns. Set in the 1980s, it’s
executive producers Alex Barnow and Chris Bishop who will lead the way.
Sex
Education (Netflix) – January 17th
Finally,
after proving a huge hit earlier in 2019, this British series comes back soon.
After pulling in 40 million viewers with the first season, it’s fair to say
we’re eagerly anticipating this one.
