Stop what you’re doing, try not to panic, we could have a new Kanye West album next month. In recent weeks, people have been speculating about the album after the expected title, Jesus Is King, was revealed. Now, the internet is going crazy over a particular tweet from Kim Kardashian West.
KKW
Track List Tweet
In the image
posted to Twitter, it shows the right-hand page of an open bible and a couple
of other items such as a yellow legal pad and a white sheet of paper. However,
the center of attention was the clear A4 pad which seemed to display a track
list. Headed ‘Jesus Is King’, there are twelve suspected track titles
listed. At the very bottom, the page is finished with ‘September 27th’, so is
this the cue for us all to get excited?
Of course, the
internet has seen lots of fakes in the past. However, what makes
this one real is a few factors. Firstly, it was posted to the official account
of Kim Kardashian West. Secondly, one of the tracks is entitled ‘Water’ which
was one of the songs he performed at Coachella’s Sunday Service earlier in the
calendar.
What about the
caption? Well, there was just one emoji; the prayer hands. Considering the
names of the songs, and the fact that Kanye himself has been conducting Sunday
service gospel performances in 2019, this seems to fit well with the overall
theme.
Another
Cancelled Project?
For Kanye fans,
there will be some worry and they’ll only be content when the album is actually
released. At a similar time last year, Kanye said that Yandhi would get
its release in September only for the album to not only get delayed but then postponed.
Since Ye
last year, Kanye has been busy having worked with Kid Cudi on KIDS SEE
GHOSTS. What’s more, he has been named as the producer on a number of other
musical projects. This includes albums from Teyana Taylor, PUSHA-T, and Nas.
We’re sure
there will be more news in the coming days as we get closer to that magical
September date.
Upcoming
Albums in 2019
Elsewhere in
the industry, there’s plenty to look forward to for the rest of 2019. Just
today, Lana Del Rey will release her fifth studio album, Norman Fu***ng Rockwell.
Next week, we can look forward to Hollywood’s Bleeding from Post Malone. With this one in particular,
there’s much anticipation after his first album flew straight to number one in
the UK and enjoyed great success here in the US too.
We can also expect new music from The Lumineers, Blink 182, Celine Dion, Miley Cyrus, and more. What music are you anticipating in 2019? Perhaps you’re waiting for a specific tour to come to your city? Let us know!
