With
less than a week to go, the stores and radio stations have been playing the
festive classics for a number of weeks and they’re now quite hard to escape. If
you’re losing steam just before the holiday season hits, don’t worry. Below,
we’ve listed some of this year’s Christmas releases to get you back in the
spirit!

It’s Christmas – Jonas Brothers
Not
so long ago, The
Jonas Brothers came out of retirement and they have been touring ever since. To
celebrate their return, they have treated us all to a Christmas song to
accompany their new album.
Make
It to Christmas – Alessia Cara
Taking
somewhat of a somber tone, the talented Alessia Cara takes what is essentially
a breakup song and manages to get us feeling all merry inside. Even though she
talks about love going cold and losing our way at this time of year, she
promises that everything will be alright as long as we make it to Christmas – a
sentiment shared by many as Christmas approaches.
Christmas
Tree Farm – Taylor Swift
Just
in case you hadn’t heard (it has been all over social media), Taylor Swift has
dipped into the festive music pool this year too. Not only does it have a
bouncy upbeat nature, we recommend watching the video for cute footage of when
she was small. With glaring similarities to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Photograph’ video, it
makes you want to go outside in the snow and cuddle up in front of the fire all
at the same time.
Glittery
– Kacey Musgraves and Troye Sivan
Although
only a couple of minutes long, this one is a couple of minutes of pure bliss.
Kacey Musgraves and Troye Sivan are feeling glittery, we’re feeling glittery,
and this is a cute song we hope will stick around for many years.
Here
(For Christmas) – Lukas Graham
Ever
since they exploded onto the scene with ‘7 Years’, everything has been quiet on
the Lukas Graham front…until now. If you’re looking for a sad tune, this might
just be it. We all know that Christmas is a time for creating memories with
loved ones, but it’s also a time to remember those who are no longer with us.
For Lukas
Forchhammer,
it’s all about his Dad and it might just make you shed a tear.
Loneliest
Time of Year – Mabel
For
those who don’t have somebody special to celebrate Christmas and New Year with,
Mabel has brought us all a soulful ballad all about the loneliest time of year.
It’s easy to feel left out and alone at Christmas, but the vocals paired with
the relaxed melody on this one is the perfect partner.
One
I’ve Been Missing – Little Mix
Finally,
most of Little
Mix’s songs
get a huge fanfare from critics and on social media, but this one seems to have
escaped everybody’s attention. In our opinion, this one has the potential to be
a favorite in years to come – why not get ahead of everyone else and listen to
it now?
