It has been officially heard by an inquest that Mike Thalassitis who went by the nickname ‘Muggy’ on Love Island’s 2017 show died in March after committing suicide.

The inquest heard that he took a cocktail made up of cocaine together with alcohol and also left goodbye notes to his family. The incident occurred at his favorite Park which he grew fond of while growing up.

The toxicology which was carried out reported that he had Fluxotine (antidepressant) in his body system as well as paracetamol in very low concentration.

Mike who was just 26 years old was seen by a woman hanging on March 16. The woman jogged at a park and found his body in close proximity to his childhood home located in North London.

Just nearby, a notebook which is a sort of diary was discovered and in it were notes which he wrote to his family. He clearly stated that he desired to take his own life. At the Coroner’s Court located in North London, PC Clawson gave a testimonial as the first officer to arrive at the scene. He said that he went through the book which was made up of a diary, some letter, as well as thoughts that had positive messages. He also stated that the diary contained some notes which he wrote specifically for his family.

Andrew Walker who happens to be the senior coroner stated that Mike left notes that were meant for his family. Mike’s family members were present at the inquest together with Montana Brown who happens to be a former co-star. According to Mr. Walker, Mr. Thalassitis left notes where he clearly stated that he intended to bring his life to a close. He also stated that the level of ethanol concentration discovered is mostly associated with alcohol intoxication.

According to Essex Live, the woman who discovered Mike’s body went ahead to read a statement as follows –  “At around 9.25pm I was jogging around Church Street recreational ground, however I know this to be Vladimir Park. A man was walking a dog so I changed my direction running along the tree line. She continued: “Through the trees I saw a man, I looked again and I thought the man was floating. I looked up and saw the rope and the man was hanging. I didn’t know what to do and I called my friend who said I should call the police. I hung up the call to my friend and called the police to report what I found. I stayed on the phone speaking to the operator until I saw the two police officers enter the park. I briefly spoke to PC Emma Clawson. She told me to go home and she would call me. I did not approach the man or touch him. He was wearing a black jacket, black hat, black shoes.”

It has been confirmed by police that the circumstances which surround the death of this man have no suspicions as well as the involvement of a 3rd party. The verdict was then recorded as suicide.
