The King of Pop’s death reached the 10-year mark on the 25th June 2019 which brought back stories of his life, wives, transition and children. One of the most interesting questions that popped up is, “Where are Michael Jackson’s kids now?” They lost their father at young ages and have since had to grow up with the world watching their every move. This definitely hasn’t been easy on them. After Jackson’s death due to cardiac arrest 10 years ago, his three children were shown grieving at a tribute concert, a touching scene indeed.

Michael Jackson’s Children

A lot has happened since then, with his children having to defend his reputation and even changing names. However, according to a family friend, Prince, Blanket, and Paris lived their lives to make sure whatever they did would make their father proud. Each one of them has followed their own path, so let’s look at where they are now and what they’re doing.

Prince Jackson

Prince Jackson has joked that although his father was known as the ‘King of Pop”, he can’t say he inherited his dad’s performance genes. He is the eldest of Jackson’s three children and was 12 years old when his father died. He has now graduated from Loyola Marymount University at the age of 22 and put his studies to good use by launching his own production company. He also sustained his father’s legacy by continuing the Heal the World initiative with his own Heal Los Angeles charity.

Paris Jackson

Unlike her brothers, Jackson’s middle child has been more involved in the showbiz spotlight, landing acting and modeling gigs. However, it has not been a smooth ride. Paris opened up about the anxiety and depression she has had to deal with, especially since her dad’s shock death. Regarding this, she said, “They always say, ‘Time heals.’ But it really doesn’t. You just get used to it. I live life with the mentality of ‘OK, I lost the only thing that has ever been important to me.’

So going forward, anything bad that happens can’t be nearly as bad as what happened before. So I can handle it.

Paris has strongly defended her dad’s reputation, calling anything put out to try to drag his name through the mud tabloids and lies. She believes nothing that is said or done can destroy his great name. On the 10-year anniversary of his death, she traveled to Europe to ‘help heal her pain.’

Blanket Jackson

Blanket’s real name is Prince Michael Jackson II, and unlike his siblings who shared a mother, Blanket’s mother has never been revealed. After Michael Jackson’s death in June 2009, he was raised by his grandmother, Katherine Jackson. According to his late grandfather, Joe, Blanket is the most similar to the King of Pop compared to his siblings. He was also the one that struggled the most in dealing with his father’s death. He later changed his name to Bigi in 2015 after reports of bullying. The 17-year old is said to now enjoy martial arts and playing video games.
