Over the years, the Kardashians and Jenners have had to grow thick skin due to the comments of many online. However, their success over the past decade is undeniable. For Kylie Jenner in particular, she is still only 22 years of age and became the world’s youngest self-made billionaire back in March.
Although many
will roll their eyes when they hear the name, it’s the general public buying
the products and keeping the whole family more relevant than ever before.
Kylie’s
Growing Charity Work
These days,
fans are admitting that it’s getting harder to dislike Kylie given that she’s a
doting mother and works alongside different causes. Back in 2016, a special
edition lip kit was launched with every single cent of sales getting donated to
Smile Train, a charity that helps children
with clefts.
Now, her
goodwill is back in the news again after giving away a whopping $750,000 to
Nest of Love, a women’s empowerment organization. Founded by Samantha Gil, she
was joined by two key members, Daniela Villa and Briana Grumet, and Kylie and
Kris Jenner, on the new season of the Ellen DeGeneres Show last night.
Not only did the organization receive $150,000, Samantha herself was awarded with $100,000. Just in case this wasn’t enough, a Kylie Cosmetics Birthday collection was given to every member of the female group…alongside a cool $50,000. Towards the end of the feature, Ellen announced that Kylie had gifted around $750,000 of her own money; this was helped by some of the proceeds from the Birthday collection going to the organization.
First
Sit-Down Interview for Kylie Since Stormi Birth
Although the
generous donation overshadowed the Jenners’ appearance on the show, this was
also the first proper interview that Kylie has given since Stormi was born back
in February 2018. When asked about the feat of becoming the youngest self-made
billionaire, she joked that her sisters ask her to pay for trips and other
expenses in family group chats.
The
Great Work of Nest of Love
If you haven’t
heard of Nest of Love previously, they have a mission to ‘lead women from every
culture and ethnicity to become a leader’. With Kylie enjoying lots of success
as a result of her own hard work, the donation seems appropriate. Along with
leadership and mentorship, the organization also offers spiritual guidance and
wellness programs.
Ultimately,
they want a Foundation where women and girls come together to not only share
dreams but start working towards them. Regardless of age, job, or position in
life, they attempt to help absolutely everybody.
If you want to
get involved, visit the Nest of Love website today; you can even make a
donation (don’t worry, nobody will be expecting you to match the donation of
Kylie!). You’ll find events, news, and all sorts of other updates!
