Kevin Hart Rushed to Hospital After Car Accident

After a car accident in Los Angeles in the early hours of Sunday morning, it has been reported that Kevin Hart is currently in hospital after sustaining major back injuries. After the news broke, support from fans came flooding in on social media and the messages continue to make their way online on Monday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Hart was being driven in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when the accident took place. Jared Black was at the wheel and was turning onto Mulholland Highway from Cold Canyon Road when he lost control of the vehicle. From the statement released;

‘…the Plymouth left the road and rolled over down the northern embankment’

Immediately, questions were raised over the condition of Black at the time of driving, but reports suggest he was ‘determined not to be under the influence of alcohol’. After the accident, Rebecca Broxterman, the third individual in the vehicle, was trapped. Broxterman is thought to be Eniko Parrish’s (Hart’s wife) trainer at Equinox Encino; meanwhile, Black and Broxterman are currently engaged. It’s not thought that Parrish was in the vehicle.

Hart’s Condition

Since the accident, lots of rumors and ‘stories’ have been floating around the internet, so we thought it our duty to clear up some misconceptions. Firstly, the patrol report suggests that Hart went to Northridge Medical Centre to be treated for major back injuries. For Black, he was taken to a different hospital and Broxterman didn’t sustain any serious injuries.

Secondly, as noted earlier, Black was not under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred so this is no longer a concern for the police.

On Monday, reports are suggesting that Hart can ‘walk and move his extremities’ which will come as a relief for comedy fans. However, doctors still aren’t sure whether or not the comic will require surgery. As for the car, the roof was removed in order to release the driver and two passengers.

Support from Fans and Celebrities

In recent years, Kevin Hart has positioned himself as one of the funniest comics in North America. Not only has he found an audience for his stand-up material, he has grown as an actor and it was one of his acting friends that led the messages online. Posting to Instagram, Dwayne Johnson told him to ‘stop messing with my emotions brother…we have a lot more laughing to do together.’

Over the past 24 hours or so, messages have also been posted by Bryan Cranston, Terry Crews, George Wallace, Arsenio Hall, Phil Heath, Marlon Wayans, and more.

So far, there has been no official statement from a representative of Kevin Hart, but this is likely in the coming days. Of course, the priority is Hart’s health and we wish him a speedy recovery at Celeb Network.

Hart married Eniko back in 2016 and they have a 21-month-old named Kenzo. Hart also has two children, Heaven and Kendrix, from his previous marriage.
