Kevin Hart is Reportedly Out of The Hospital, Though His Doctor Says ‘He Will Need Round the Clock’ Medical Care as He Recovers from The Horror Car Crash

Kevin Hart, 40 was hospitalized following a horror car crash that occurred earlier this month. His friend, actor Jared Black was driving the Plymouth Barracuda, while Hart and Rebecca Broxterman, Black’s fiancée were in the passenger seats when the vehicle veered off the road and landed in a ditch.

The comedian was rushed to an LA hospital where it was confirmed he had sustained several injuries on his spine. His friend Jared Black was airlifted to a local hospital while Broxterman sustained minor injuries – a source who sighted the collision report said.

Hart had undergone emergency surgery on his back to seal up the fractures he sustained on his spine.

According to multiple sources, the Jumanji actor was released from the hospital on Wednesday. His discharge comes 11 days after the back surgery. Hart is expected to continue his recovery in a live-in rehabilitation facility where he will undergo rigorous but painful physical therapy.

Though the actor’s team is yet to release a statement about the crash, his close friends have been playing down the extent of his injuries.

Tiffany Haddish, on September 6 told ET, that his friend and frequent collaborator is on the road to recovery.

“He’s OK. He’s doing fine, as far as I know, from the last I heard, he’s fine,” the “Night School” actress said.

He stopped by on Kelly Clarkson TV talk show on September 9, where he shared more updates about his friend, Kevin.

“Everything is good, I spoke with Kevin, I actually refer to him as my son,” the Jumanji co-star, 47, joked. “These things happen in life, and thank God he was strapped in tight to his car seat. We spoke to his paediatrician, and he’s doing very well.”

He’s bummed he couldn’t be here, as you know, but I love the guy. He’s one of my best friends. Thank God, it could’ve been a lot worse. He’s a lucky man. I wish him the best and speedy recovery, and I’m gonna see him soon.”

According to reports, Hart had sustained three fractures on his spine, which prompted doctors to perform the emergency surgery to try to amend them.

The 40-year-old actor is expected to make a full recovery. Hart had bought himself the vintage 1970 Plymouth Barracuda for his 40th birthday.
