Kanye West Had COVID-19: Rapper Reveals All in Forbes Interview (Plus Presidency Latest)

Over the years, Kanye West has made many extraordinary claims. In the past, he claimed that he would one day run for the presidency in the United States. At the time, most people thought it was another show of confidence and that nothing would ever really come of the comment. Now, it seems we weren’t taking him seriously enough and he has made the claim yet again. Not only that, but earlier in the week Elon Musk revealed his support for the rapper.

It has been an interesting week for Kanye, and a new interview with Forbes is breaking headlines all over the world (when does a Kanye interview ever go unnoticed?).

COVID-19 Positive Test

Firstly, he revealed in the interview that he had COVID-19 in the recent pandemic. In fact, he had the virus before most of the Western world after contracting it in February. During the illness, West said that he researched how to overcome it which led him to hot showers, watching videos, chills, and even shaking in bed.

Despite his experiences with the virus, West has now spoken openly against a vaccine for the virus. Calling it ‘the mark of the beast’, it seems the ‘Stronger’ rapper is painting himself as a so-called ‘anti-vaxxer’. He believes that we should be ‘cautious’ when turning to vaccines to treat people with coronavirus. He said, ‘they want to put chips inside of us…to make it where we can’t cross the gates of heaven.’

With 60,000 people testing positive for the virus across the United States, it was a record day on Tuesday and Novavax has now invested $1.6 billion into a potential vaccine; trials may start in October.

Education Reform and Other Promised Changes

Meanwhile, it seems West has a plan for the presidential campaign taking place later in 2020 too. After feeling disillusioned with the world of politics, he has registered to vote for the first time and feels as though he can be the middle ground between Democrats and Republicans.

Not much is known about his potential campaign, and West is yet to file the necessary paperwork to officially run for president. This being said, he has spoken about his beliefs in big business tax breaks, minority opportunities, educational reforms, and various infrastructure projects.

While Elon Musk quickly tweeted his support for the prolific Grammy winner, not everybody shares the same optimism. With a controversial background, many experts believe that his campaign will lose steam.

New Music

How can we talk about Kanye West without mentioning new music? Just recently, he released the first track from God’s Country with Travis Scott. Entitled ‘Wash Us in the Blood’, it has quickly become a favorite with the fans and will undoubtedly remain a popular tune until the album’s full release. Unfortunately, we don’t yet have a release date for the album.
