Just over a
year ago, the news broke that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin had married in a
courthouse. On Monday, they married for a second time in front of friends and
family members in South Carolina. In front of a beautiful sunset, it didn’t
take long for Bieber to post on Instagram and declare his love for his ‘new’
wife. As well as a post of the two kissing with the caption ‘my wife is (flame
emoji)’, he also posted a throwback picture of the two with their families.
According to
sources, there were around 150 people at the wedding including some famous
names. Alongside Kendall and Kylie Jenner, names in attendance included Ed
Sheeran, Travis Scott, Katy Perry, Scooter Braun, Usher, and Jaden Smith. In
addition to this, rumors suggest that Bieber’s ex, Caitlin Beadles, accepted
Justin’s invitation and showed up with her bother, Christian Beadles. Although
the relationship was over ten years ago, it’s nice to see the two still on
speaking terms.
Despite the
celebrity-laden guest list, neither Bella nor Gigi Hadid made their way to
South Carolina to see the lucky pair marry. With the Paris Fashion Week
finishing today (October 1st), it seems the two had work commitments that
couldn’t be escaped. Just last night, Gigi was at the Each x Other
show in
France’s capital.
Timeline
of Justin and Hailey
Of course, this
isn’t about who did and didn’t attend the wedding. Congratulations are in order
for the two stars and their families, and it’s a relationship that goes back
further than some people might realize.
Not so long
ago, it was revealed that the two met through Stephen Baldwin, Hailey’s father.
Back in 2009, Stephen introduced her daughter to the new singing sensation. At
the time, Hailey was a fan who was slightly embarrassed during this first
encounter.
Two years
later, Never Say Never launched. Guess what? That’s right, Stephen and
Hailey were on the red carpet and even managed to bag some pictures with the
main star himself. Looking back now, it’s strange to think the three probably
have a wedding photo together.
In the same
year, Hailey took to Twitter to say. ‘OMG! I need Bieber wrapping paper ASAP.’
At a similar time, when Justin was dating Selena Gomez (who, funnily enough,
wasn’t at the wedding!), she also posted to say that they were ‘couple goals.’
In 2014, it
seemed the pair were getting closer as they attended church with their mutual
friend, Kendall Jenner. With several posts on social media, it was clear the
two were spending more time together, but they insisted it was just a
friendship. After ringing in two consecutive New Year’s Eves together, the
famous video of the two making out was eventually released and, despite some
ups and downs after 2016 (and being linked with other people), they came back
together and are now man and wife. Congratulations!
