Jon Bernthal Is Set To Return As The Punisher For Daredevil: Born Again

Daredevil was, for many fans, the best TV show Marvel ever created. The competition is usually between the blind vigilante and Agents of Shield. However, the famous Netflix show starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock often takes the cake. Things went wrong, however, when Netflix suddenly started canceling all the Marvel shows it had on. First, it was Luke Cage that was canceled off, and then it was Iron Fist. A pattern could be spotted by anyone, even if they were a blind lawyer who moonlit as a crime fighter. In the end, the beloved Daredevil was canceled after its third season. Now, Marvel is reprising the show, and the old cast is coming in hot.

Old Heroes, Old Capes

Charlie Cox is already reprising his role as Matt Murdock. The actor has already made an appearance on She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, all dressed up in a brand new comic-accurate suit. In fact, the actor also showed up in a brilliant and yet effective cameo in what many consider one of the few good Marvel films in the last few years, Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Vincent D’Onofrio has also confirmed his involvement as he makes a return as Kingpin. The character has appeared before in Marvel’s Hawkeye series. Now, the Punisher is also back with the same actor, Jon Bernthal. The show might release in the spring of 2024, as filming is all set to begin this month in the heart of New York. The series is pegged at 18 episodes, and fans can expect to see many of their old beloved characters.

Daredevil will once again fight off Wilson Fisk or The Kingpin. The Punisher’s involvement remains unclear since the source material does not feature him in the adapted storyline. Either way, fans are excited, and for very good reasons.
