Johnny Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose Depp busted her silence months after he triumphed in the defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Here’s what she said.

Actor Lily-Rose Depp has busted her silence over the last defamation trial of her father-actor Johnny Depp and his ex-wife, actor Amber Heard. In a fresh interview, Lily-Rose said that she is ‘not here to respond for anybody. She also added that she feels for a lot of her career people have wanted to portray her by the men in her life.

Lily-Rose is the daughter of Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp and actor-singer Vanessa Paradis. They separated in 2012 after 14 years of marriage. During Johnny’s six-week trial in the Virginia court this year, Lily-Rose got many messages nudging her to support her father.

Now, talking with Elle, Lily-Rose said, “I know my preadolescence didn’t look like everybody’s preadolescence, and it’s a very individual thing to deal with, but it’s also the only thing that I know. When it’s something that’s so intimate and so personal that all of a sudden becomes not so intimate…I feel really privileged to my secret garden of thoughts.”

She also added, “I also think that I’m not here to respond for anybody, and I suppose like, for a lot of my career, people have really wanted to portray me by the men in my life, whether that’s my own family members or my boyfriends, whatever. And I’m really ready to be designated for the things that I put out there.”

Earlier this year, Johnny and Amber Heard were in a US court for a trial where Amber was awarded $10.35 million in damages and she got $2 million. The US lawsuit took place during April and May. It was established on the allegation that Amber had defamed Johnny by directing herself as a “public figure depicting domestic abuse” in a 2018 op-ed for the Washington Post.

Although the op-ed did not precisely refer to Johnny, the actor proclaimed it damaged his reputation and ruined his career. The actors split a year before the op-ed was published, following two years of marriage, with Amber saying that Johnny had subjected her to emotional, physical, and sexual abuse during their relationship.
