He will be going through the cities of the United States and Canada performing his songs, relying on his trusty acoustic guitar for most of the time. Mayer announced this solo tour on Instagram with a heartfelt note for his followers that reveals a lot about how he sees his journey in the music world.

In Conclusion

It is clear from his Instagram post that this tour holds a lot of sentimental value for John Mayer. He recalls the beginning of his journey when he was just an artist with a guitar and a dream. This tour is a call-back to his journey. Talking about the tour itself, Mayer said:

“I began my career on stage with only a guitar and a microphone. A lot has changed since then, but I knew one day I’d feel it in my heart to do an entire run of shows on my own again, just like those early days. It took a couple of decades, but I feel it now. I’ll be playing old songs. Newer songs. Songs you haven’t heard yet that I’ll be road testing – all on acoustic, electric, and piano.”

It seems that no one could be more excited about this tour than John himself.
