If the actors have their way, John Krasinski and Michael B Jordan may soon collaborate together as Jack Ryan and John Clark.

Tom Clancy has penned dozens of bestsellers over the years, breeding countless franchises. But the two characters he is best known for–Jack Ryan and John Clark–share an identical fictional universe. In the books, the two have frequently collaborated. In the previous few years, both characters were carried to live in different projects, incidentally, both released on Prime Video. In a chat, John Krasinski, who plays Jack Ryan, talks about a potential crossover.

There are three seasons of Jack Ryan as of now and a fourth that has already been shot recently. But in Tom Clancy’s books, Ryanverse goes on for close to 30-40 years (with Jack Ryan even evolving as the President of the US). So, there is material for 20 seasons if the makers desire to. When asked about any insider details on how far Jack Ryan is scheduled to go, John says, “As far as how prolonged this goes, right now we have just shot four seasons and it scrutinizes like that would be the end of the series. But you never know. There may be another version for this character. It’s definitely been an extraordinary character for me to play. So who knows, we’ll witness!”

Another of Tom Clancy’s famous characters from the Ryanverse–John Clark–made an appearance in last year’s film Without Remorse. The film had a magnificent Michael B Jordan in the role and was streamed on Prime Video too. Given that both of Clancy’s iconic characters are now on the identical streaming service, numerous fans have expected a crossover. And the idea has struck the actors’ minds too. “It’s something that I have forever wanted to do. I truthfully spoke to Michael B Jordan about it. He is the grandest. I am such a massive fan of his and would like to work with him on anything. We both found ourselves in this wonderful universe and thought it would be an outstanding opportunity to do it together. Hopefully, that gets to transpire at some point soon,” says John.

The 3rd season of Jack Ryan also has a wonderful cast of Wendell Pierce, Michael Kelly, Betty Gabriel, and Peter Guinness. It premieres on Prime Video on 21st December. A sequel to Without Remorse based on Rainbow Six has also been toyed with Michael reproducing his role. Nevertheless, there has yet to be an update on its expansion.
