Singer Lady Gaga will enter the world of DC with her depiction of Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie a Deux, which too stars Joaquin Phoenix.

Is Lady Gaga entering the Marvel universe? There has been a lot of hypothesis about whether Lady Lylla (as voiced by Lady Gaga) would materialize in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which became more assertive as the first teaser trailer for the film demonstrated, for a split-second, the character embracing Rocket Raccoon (as voiced by Bradley Cooper). Now James Gunn has indicated whether the singer will be part of the franchise or not.

When the director was questioned in an Instagram post about the teaser, encircling a hypothesis that the character Lylla has a name that “stars with Ga and ends with Ga,” he was prompted to discredit it by saying, “It does not.” Fans then endeavored to pin it down by counting that this could also be a conceivable send-off as Lady Gaga could still be credited in the assignment by her real name, Stefani Germanotta.

The latest gossip about Guardians 3 is that this could mark the second collaboration between Bradley and Gaga following A Star Is Born (2018). Lylla is a conscious otter in the comics. James also divulged that in the next film Rocket’s story was the one he wanted to concentrate on the most, so it can obviously be a sapient choice to get in Lady Gaga as Lylla, although nothing has been authorized yet.

“[The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special] is also very, very unlike Volume 3 because Volume 3 is a really very touching movie,” Gunn had earlier said in an interview with Comic Book.com. “And it suggests this story about Rocket and where he came from and where he’s going, and how that links into everybody else, and the fortune of this iteration of The Guardians.” He continued, “So, doing this goofy thing like one time every four days, and then moving and shooting four days of Guardians Vol. 3, and then going back, it almost collected a lot of whiplashes. Though it was also basically like The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special days were like snow days, you know? Those were the… that was vacation. That was entertaining!” The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is now available exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar, while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will flog theatres next year on May 5, 2023.
