Jada Pinkett Smith, the wife of famed actor Will Smith, has finally admitted that she once had an affair with August Alsina, R&B singer while she was separated from her husband.
The Denial
The actor’s representatives had formerly denied the relationship with the R&B singer after Alsina brought it up during an interview with ‘The Breakfast Club.’ The radio show, which took place on June 30, was hosted by Angela Yee.
No Longer Involved Romantically
Alsina told the radio show host, Yee, that the Smiths are now life partners, but no longer involved romantically. Despite the fact that Pinkett Smith’s reps denied the R&B singer’s account, the actor insisted that he had told the truth. This was during an exchange with Will Smith on ‘Red Table Talk,’ Pinkett’s show on Facebook Watch.
The Separation and the Affair
The Smiths opened up that when they got separated approximately 4½ years ago, Pinkett Smith had an affair with Alsina. Their marriage had hit the rocks at the time, and as time went on, Pinkett Smith got entangled with August.
Both, however, denied the R&B singer’s claim that Will Smith gave Alsina the go-ahead to date his wife. Pinkett Smith stated that one of the things she wanted to clear up and which the press was not too clear about was that Smith purportedly permitted the affair to occur.
Pinkett Smith maintained that the only person who was in the best position to permit such a circumstance was herself. But it appeared that August was only trying to communicate the simple fact that he is not a homewrecker. Since the couple was separated amicably, August probably perceived the situation as permission from Will Smith to proceed with what he had in mind.
The Journey and the Healing
Pinkett Smith told her 51-year-old husband that the journey she undertook with August allowed her to tackle a lot of emotional insecurity and emotional immaturity. The journey also helped her to undergo some profound healing.
Pinkett Smith added that as she came through and began to realize obvious things about her marriage, Alsina decided to break all ties and communication with her. This, according to the ‘Collateral’ star, was totally understandable.
And she let the situation remain that way and had never talked to Alsina since then. So, her so-called affair with August coming to light at this period is somewhat weird, seeing that the whole thing occurred several years ago.

Pinkett Smith wasted no time to express her profound happiness that she and Smith are back together again, having successfully repaired their relationship.
According to ‘The Nutty Professor’ star, she and her husband have gotten to a new place of unconditional love. Mr. Smith even added that the whole situation feels like it happened several years ago.
