It seems like Keanu Reeves is on the path to making his first Marvel appearance with The Eternals. From all indications, if things play out as planned, he could eventually star in The Eternals. It is expected that production will begin in a couple of months to come.

His popularity has gone up after starring in movies like the John Wick series, Speed, as well as The Matrix. Now he is set to debut with Marvel. MCU Cosmic has revealed that negotiations are currently taking place and that the actor has not yet put pen to paper to seal a deal. It appears that talks happen to be in the early phase. On the completion of the negotiations, a positive outcome would see Keanu become a part of the cast which has being announced to include – Sersi being played by Angelina Jolie, Ikaris to be played by Richard Madden, etc. It is understood that Marvel needs an actor that has Asian origins to star in a lead role. It is also expected that the cast will include extra lead roles for females for the likes of Piper and Karen.
The ongoing speculation had always been that Keanu Reeves would become a member of the MCU team. This is because of the fact that his name popped up in Doctor Strange together with the mention of his name to Captain Marvel subsequently.

The Eternals goes back a long time to 1976 when it was created by the very popular Jack Kirby. The Eternals takes us back to many million years ago. This was a time when the Celestials who happen to be cosmic beings carried out genetic experiments on human beings. This led to the creation of individuals who had superpowers. These individuals were referred to as the Eternals. There was also another class of villains called the Deviants.
The script is currently created by Martin & Ryan Firpo. The movie director is none other than Chloe Zhao. The production will be overseen by Kevin.
