Liam who is just 12 is the sun to Tori Spelling as well as Dean McDermott. His “Am I obese?” question is actually very heartbreaking as he responded to online body-shaming. The children of this couple experienced cyberbullying in January. The reaction of Liam to these negative remarks was made public by the chef.
While speaking on his podcast which is titled Daddy Issues, the chef went on to give explanations. He is just 52 years of age and was the former host on a TV show called Chopped Canada. He said “ Liam picked it up. He said, ‘Dad, am I obese?’ I said, ‘Look buddy — there’s some sick people in the world and they need to say bad things about people.’” The chef hosts this podcast with Adam Hunter as well as Nicky Paris.
As a way of responding he told his son “ Think about it, son. You have a busy life. You have school, you got sports. Do you think you have time to go on Instagram, scroll through the people that you’re following, and make a negative comment about somebody?’ I said,
No, you don’t. You don’t, and if you did, you’d fill your time with something else. So think about how sick these people are that they have to do that.
In January, McDermott who also has other kids with Tori Spelling was very vocal about body shamers and he lashed out against them. “I am absolutely horrified and disgusted by the comments being left about my children,” were his comments on Spelling’s post back then as a lot of persons criticized the appearance of his brood. He went on to say “Body shaming and bullying my children??!! What is wrong with you people??!!”
These comments from McDermott himself show how he sees body shamers and is a reflection of how a lot of persons out there view this rapidly growing trend of body shaming.
In an interview with his wife sometime later, Tori revealed to US Weekly that, “Celebrities have feelings and then when you cross a line and you go after children … that is just wrong and shame on you. The thing that I hate too are these internet cowboys who have these made-up titles that they hide behind and … have private accounts. You want something, you have something to say, say it to my face, and tell me who you are”.
