Guess Who Stole The Super Bowl Halftime Show? J.Lo’s Daughter!

One unexpected special guest stole the Super Bowl halftime show, right when Jennifer Lopez and Shakira were performing: and that guest is Emme Maribel Muñiz.

Lopez thrilled the audience with a rendition of “Get Right” and “Jenny From the Block,” a children choir came on stage, with Muñiz, Jennifer Lopez’s 11-year-old daughter, leading the ensemble. Muñiz sang “Born in USA,” a song by Bruce Springsteen.

Her mother later returned to the stage, clothed in a feathered Puerto Rican flag.

Everyone, including celebrities, noticed how sweetly she sang Springsteen’s song and her extraordinary performance.

So remarkable was Muñiz performance that Kim Kardashian tweeted “Can we talk about how amazing @JLo’s daughter Emme sang on such a huge stage like the Super Bowl?”

Even @AshleyShyMiller also tweeted “Is that J Lo’s daughter out there singing?”

The young girl showed rare talent, especially on such a great platform like the Super Bowl. But not so many people know much about her.

Well, you are about to learn everything we know about this talented youngster.

Muñiz is Not New to Singing

Granted, her mother is a music superstar, but not everyone expected her to be as cool and collected as she was at the Super Bowl. And that led many to wonder if she had prior experience.

Research shows that she indeed had prior experience, though not on so grand a stage as the Super Bowl.

Sometime last year, Muñiz’s mother shared a Behind-the-scenes video of her rehearsals when she was getting set for her “Today” show summer concert series performance.

Muñiz happened to visit her mother during rehearsals and was seen to give a beautiful – albeit impromptu – public presentation of “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys.

“We should have her come out and do something on tour,” said Lopez in the video. “Want to? Want to put a little piece in the show?”

“I don’t know,” Muñiz replied.

Marc Anthony is Emme’s Dad

It shouldn’t really be surprising that Muñiz could belt out such an electrifying performance at the Super Bowl. And that is because she is the daughter of two fantastic superstars.

Lopez had Muñiz – and her twin – when she was with Marc Anthony, her ex-husband. The two singers got married in 2004 but went their separate ways in 2011. Marc is now married to Shannon De Lima, and his ex-wife is presently engaged to Alex Rodriguez.

Lopez stated in an interview that she had with Entertainment Tonight last year “Emme’s got her daddy’s voice, and it’s amazing,” she said.

“It’s natural,” the “I’m Real” artist added. “Emme could always sing. I remember when she was in a crib, she used to be humming, like, really humming to herself.”

Her dad and Grammy-winning artist, Anthony, tweeted his support for Muñiz following her performance at the Super Bowl.

“Emme, Daddy is so proud of you. You are my (heart), and I am forever yours,” he wrote alongside a video of his daughter performing.
