As we come to
the end of another week, both Camila Cabello and Justin Bieber have given us
something to enjoy over the weekend as they both drop new music.
Cry
For Me
– A Glimpse into the Upcoming ‘Romance’ Album
Around a month
ago, Cabello got her fans all excited as she released Liar and Shameless.
With this, ‘Romance’, the sophomore solo album, is well and truly on its way.
Co-written alongside Frank Dukes and Lou Bell, the track has Cabello’s recognizable voice
but with almost rock-like guitar riffs running through it. Additionally, Ryan Tedder, lead singer of One Republic and
prolific hit writer, is also listed as a songwriter; he also worked with
Cabello for Into It.
Thanks to the magic of social media, Cabello has already addressed the song’s released and has spoken about the inspiration for the track. In a tweet, she noted how she wrote a song at just 16 years old about an ex-partner moving on too quickly after a relationship. With Cry For Me, it has the same theme and story. She says that admitting jealousy is difficult and, written a few months ago, it has become one of her favorites.
As we continue
to race towards the end of 2019, Syco Music and Epic Records are expected to
continue to tease us. By the end of the year, Cabello fans should have their
hands on the full album.
Of course, she has
been in the spotlight lots recently for her relationship with Shawn Mendes.
While she seemed hesitant at first, Cabello has been very open about Mendes of
late. While appearing on the Capital Breakfast show in the UK, she noted how ‘I
really, really love him a lot’.
Bieber
Teams Up with Dan + Shay
Meanwhile, it has been a hectic week for Justin Bieber. Not only has he married Hailey Baldwin (now Bieber) for a second time, he has also released new music alongside Dan + Shay. In their new single, 10,000 Hours, Bieber seems to open up and show a side we don’t get to see too often. Written by Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay, they teamed up with Jason Boyd, Jessie Jo Dillon, Jordan Reynolds, and Bieber himself to get the track completed.
Earlier in the
week, the two artists teased fans that a song was incoming, and it seems the
song is a message to Justin’s new wife too. In it, he talks about spending
10,000 hours ‘if that’s what it takes to learn that sweet heart of yours’.
According to
reports, Dan + Shay were both guests at the wedding of Justin and Hailey Bieber
on Monday and this is a story we covered ourselves. We can’t wait to listen to
these tracks over the weekend; tell us your own opinions (and what songs you’re
looking forward to in the rest of 2019!).
