Whether you like her music or not, it has been terrible to see Demi Lovato go through her struggles over the past couple of years. But we have great news…she’s starting to talk more about her new album

You know what’s great about making an album? You get to say anything you want, be as open and honest as possible and finally tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it.

Last July, not too far from a year ago, Demi overdosed and was taken to a hospital. In the months since, it seems she has taken some time away from the spotlight and concentrated on her health. Now, her Instagram account is active once again and it seems her new album will be telling her side of the story.

In a Story post, she asked, ‘you know what’s great about making an album? You get to say anything you want, be as open and honest as possible and finally tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it.’

Lessons Learned for Demi

For those who follow Demi and her career, they will undoubtedly be worried about her health in the coming months and years. Of course, nobody wants to see her fall into the same trap she found last year. For Demi, she seems positive about the whole experience.

Back in March, she noted that she would have been celebrating seven years of being sober. Rather than feeling anger or regret, the 26-year-old showed maturity and explained that the mistakes were important. She said, ‘I needed to make those mistakes, but I must never forget that’s exactly what they were; mistakes’.

What’s more, Demi noted how she doesn’t feel as though six years have been lost. Instead, that experience is right behind her and it will come in handy every day in this new journey.

Although she took some time out of the spotlight, her openness with drug problems have been a breath of fresh air for the industry and many drug-related charities are sure her words will help others in need.

Return to Music

In May, Lovato announced that she was working with Scooter Braun, the manager of Justin Bieber, and that she couldn’t wait for the next chapter of her career. In recent days, the musical posts have been coming thick and fast and we can’t get enough.

Over the weekend, she posted a selfie while wearing headphones and in front of a pop filter for a microphone. With the caption ‘making magic’, it’s fair to say her fans were a little excited.

No news of the album details has been released just yet, but music fans will appreciate finally listening to Demi’s side of the story in the only way she knows how; through great music. After nearly a full year of speculation and false stories, it seems she’s ready to share with the world.

Of course, tours normally follow new albums and we hope that she’s healthy enough to return to full action in this way. We think you’ll agree it will be great seeing her on the stage once more!
