Chris Brown Ready for Album of the Summer

Published

on

Just a short while ago, we spoke about how Chris Brown was expecting his second child. Now, he’s making headlines again but this time for his music. After releasing his new album, Indigo, some people are already calling it the ‘Album of the Summer’ and Brown has certainly treated his fans with this one.

For many musicians, they feel as though they either need to focus on quality or quantity. For Chris Brown, he’s put this debate aside and produced an album that has 32 tracks; according to social media, there’s no hint of sacrificing quality to get all these songs onto the album and this is what we love to hear.

Ninth Studio Album

Are we surprised that Chris Brown’s ninth studio release has been met with a fantastic reception? Not particularly, Brown has been setting the music world alight since his debut album Chris Brownback in 2005. Over the course of nearly 15 years, he has continued to break records while releasing classics like;

  • With You
  • Look at Me Now
  • No Air
  • New Flame
  • Run It!
  • Forever
  • Yo (Excuse Me Miss)
  • Gimme That
  • Yeah 3X

Looking at this list (and we could have added many more), it’s surprising that Brown is still only 30 years of age. In 2017 alone, he sold nearly 75 million single and album units in the US and the love for the singer/rapper is stronger than ever.

Indigo, Tour, and a Settled Lawsuit

When it comes to Indigo, this is a double-disc album that contains three bonus cuts. What’s more, it offers collaborations with Trey Songz, Tyga, Lil Wayne, Tory Lanez, Drake, G-Eazy, Nicki Minaj, and Justin Bieber. For those who want to listen, it’s available on Spotify and Apple Music right now.

Of course, with every new album comes a tour and details of the IndiGOAT tour have already been released. Featuring Ty Dolla Sign, Tory Lanez, and Joyner Lucas, it starts in Portland, OR, on August 20. From here, the tour will travel through Denver, Tampa, Charlotte, Buffalo, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Washington, Chicago, Indianapolis, Dallas, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego, and many more. Finally, the tour will come to a close after two full months in Anaheim, CA, on October 19.

It seems to have been a hectic few weeks for Chris Brown after the legal battle with his former manager also came to an end (finally!). Although details of the case haven’t been revealed, all claims against one another have been dropped. Back in 2016, Mike G accused Brown of battery, assault, false imprisonment, and breach of contract. Meanwhile, Mike G was accused of stealing money.

New album, tour, no more lawsuit, and a baby on the way, it’s fair to say that Chris Brown will be one of the busiest celebrities of 2019!
