What do you like to do in your spare time? Do you like reading or painting? For some reason, it’s hard to envision celebrities sitting down to read a book or draw. Well, it does happen and we’re going to show you some strange hobbies that celebrities have today.

Julia Roberts – Knitting

Over the years, Julia Roberts hasn’t been afraid of confessing her love for knitting. Now, it seems she is encouraging co-stars to get involved too. Julianna Nicholson performed alongside Roberts in August: Osage County and said that she encouraged Nicholson to pick up the needles after putting them down over ten years before.

Taylor Swift – Snow Globes

You read that right, Taylor Swift likes to make snow globes. In an interview with Seventeen, she said that all it takes to get started is antique Christmas trinkets, some glitter, and a mason jar. She likes to make them and give them as gifts during the holiday season – she actually learned how to do it on Pinterest!

John Lennon – Stamps

If you’ve ever felt bad for wanting to collect stamps, you’ll be in good company because the late, great John Lennon was an avid philatelist too. Not so long ago, his stamp collection could be found in the Smithsonian National Postal Museum. Shortly after, it appeared in New York for the World Stamp Show.

Johnny Depp – Barbie Dolls

If you’re wondering who collects special editions of Barbie dolls, look to none other than Johnny Depp. In the past, he’s told about how he plays with the dolls to get into character for upcoming movies. In fact, his collection spans to include special edition Beyoncé, High School Musical, and Marilyn Monroe Barbies.

Quentin Tarantino – TV Board Games

Considering the nature of Tarantino films, you would expect his hobby to be something weird and extravagant. In reality, it seems the famous director likes to collect TV-themed board games. After failing to have fun with dolls and finding lunch boxes too expensive, he settled for TV board games.

Tom Hanks – Typewriters

When looking for the world’s largest collection of vintage typewriters, Tom Hanks’ wouldn’t be far off. With over 250 models, he has been in a typewriter documentary and even penned short stories with typewriters featuring in the tales.
