The Reynolds family is not letting the novel coronavirus pandemic stop them from upholding their long-standing tradition of playfully trolling each other. Over the weekend, Blake Lively shared a photograph of her husband, Ryan Reynolds, sporting a bitty ponytail.

I Dare You to Forget This, Lively Says

The 32-year-old actress joked alongside an Instagram Story snapshot: “I dare you to forget this every time you see him for the rest of eternity.”

And in true Reynolds fashion, her 43-year-old husband responded with a screenshot of his wife’s message. “Clearly, your birth control doesn’t work so…” the ‘Deadpool’ star quipped.

He made it quite clear that the ‘Rhythm Section’ actress, who is the mother of his three kids, doesn’t seem to have any issues with the way he looks.

Just earlier in the week, ‘Wolverine’ star, Hugh Jackman, who has been jokingly feuding with Ryan Reynolds for several years, gave a playful indication that Lively must be going through a difficult period, spending so much time with the ‘6 Underground’ actor.

The 51-year-old Jackman joked while calling into a show on Friday: “We’ve been reaching out to Blake, we talk to her, ’cause can you imagine quarantine, stuck in the house with Ryan? It must be brutal for her.”

On Spending Quality Family Time

Reynolds and Lively, just like many parents out there, are spending lots of quality family time together nowadays.

“We are doing a lot of homeschooling,” Reynolds told Stephen Colbert earlier this month via video chat.

The couple who are presently hunkering down with their three lovely kids – James, 5, Inez, 3, and the newest addition who is about 8 months old now – have been joined by Lively’s mother. Reynolds refers to his mother-in-law as a lifesaver.

“It’s been incredible to have her here,” Reynolds said before adding jokingly: “She doesn’t know it, but actually, she’s emergency food if this gets real.”

About Not Missing Masculine Company

Reynolds went ahead to share that even though he may be the only man of the house at the moment, he has not been missing what he refers to as “masculine company.”

“It’s fine, I like just being here with the girls I like doing the girls stuff,” he said. “I try not to push gender normative idea on my kids as they are born, but each one, when they came out that chute, just really wanted to make dresses.”

“They wanted to dress in hot pink all day, so that’s what I do. This morning I made dresses out of tissue paper, which was fun,” added.

The Couples’ Contribution to the Ongoing Pandemic

Both Reynolds and Lively are also doing their part to help individuals that have been “brutally impacted” by the ongoing COVID-19 scourge.

In mid-March, for instance, Reynolds announced that they would be donating $1 million to two organizations representing food banks across the USA and Canada during the coronavirus crisis.

Reynolds recently stated that he would be temporarily suspending his differences with ‘Real Steel’ star Jackman to support the “All In Challenge” which aims to provide food and supplies to frontline workers, children, and the elderly.
