At Celeb Network, we’re devastated to be writing about the death of Beth Chapman, star of Dog the Bounty Hunter. In a saddening Tweet from her husband, Duane Chapman, the news was shared with the world. He said,
‘It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.’
According to the family attorney, Andrew B. Brettler, Beth kept fighting her cancer battle until the very end. Furthermore, the network in charge of the popular TV show, WGN America, stated that she was ‘fiercely loyal and passionate about her family’.
Cancer Claims Another Star
Last week, Beth was taken ill, and fans of the show became concerned. According to sources, she was distressed and attempted to remove her IVs. With this in mind, doctors decided to place her into a medically-induced coma.
Since then, Duane and Beth’s daughter and stepdaughter called on the world for prayers, and the number of positive and supportive comments on social media was something truly special. For Bonnie, their daughter, she travelled home from Colorado to be with her family.
Sadly, the battle began in September 2017when she was diagnosed with throat cancer. However, Beth didn’t change, and she openly said that she didn’t want pity from anyone. Instead, the couple were positive and there was good news in November that same year when the cancer was removed.
One year later, it had returned, and Beth underwent emergency surgery after her airways were obstructed by a blockage. In April 2019, her difficulty in breathing came back and she was taken to a nearby hospital once again. This time, there was a build-up of fluid on the lungs which required more surgery.
At this same time, Duane opened up about the whole situation and spoke about how he was willing to do anything and everything to keep his beloved wife alive.
A Loving Relationship
While celebrity couples have been splitting all around them, Duane and Beth Chapman were the image of true love (despite a complicated relationship). After first getting together in 1986 and going through some difficult times over the next 20 years, they eventually got married in 2006. Beth leaves behind children and a loving family.
Of course, this is a difficult time for the whole family and Bonnie, their daughter, has recently tweeted. Now aged 20, she said ‘I’ll never forget you, mama. You were such a strong woman…you were strong for everyone, and you taught me it’s okay to let go.’
Unfortunately, she was also forced into addressing trolls which is a terrible shame given what the family is going through right now. However, the majority of messages online have been ones of support and we’re sure this will continue in the days and weeks ahead.
We send our condolences to the family and friends of the late Beth Chapman, who has passed away at the age of 51.
