As
well as the latest fashion, TV, and movie news, we also like to deal with the
celebrity lifestyle at Celeb Network, and this is just one reason why this
story today is so important. Opening up in a candid interview, both Anthony
Hopkins and Brad Pitt revealed a side we have rarely seen before and it’s a
breath of fresh air. Sometimes, we forget that celebrities are human, and we
bombard them with tweets and even nasty comments about performances. It can lead
stars to alcohol
and other coping mechanisms in what has turned into a toxic industry.
Brad
Pitt Talks About Crying
During
an emotional segment of the piece by Interview, Pitt moved onto the topic of
crying and said that he hadn’t cried for around 20 years. Yet, he is now starting
to be moved by kids, friends, and even the news. ‘I think it’s a good sign’
– Brad said that being moved was a positive step forward after a long time as a
‘not-crier’. In response, Hopkins noted that ‘everything moves me’
and that he cries at the ‘drop of a hat.’
In
what has already been praised as a positive interview for the whole of society,
Hopkins also said that crying doesn’t have to be about grief or sadness.
Instead, it can be ‘about the glory of life.’
Struggle
with Alcohol and Embracing Mistakes
Elsewhere
in the interview between the two Hollywood legends, they spoke of alcohol
problems. Back in September, The
New York Times
told of Pitt’s alcohol issues and the fact that the star had attended several
Alcohol Anonymous meetings. Pitt also noted that Hopkins had told him of his
transition away from alcohol while they were shooting Meet Joe Black in
1998.
Hopkins
said that it’s difficult to look back at the things people do when they’re in
the midst of an alcohol issue, but there’s also a side that urges you to move
on and realize that these mistakes are in the past. Pitt agreed with the sentiment
and said that today’s society has a problem with embracing mistakes and letting
go.
Shift
in Societal Thinking
For
those looking for some inspirational words this Tuesday, we highly recommend
taking a look on the Interview website. The pair
discuss fate, blame, embracing mistakes, and how people these days are too
quick to be judgmental. Rather than focusing all our efforts on the mistake,
Pitt believes we should focus on what comes after the mistake.
Later
in the interview, Hopkins told the world that life is too short to not be
enjoying it. He said, ‘your life today, it’s fantastic’ and we can’t say
fairer than this. In this day and age, it’s very rare to see two people opening
up like this and having a real conversation, it’s even rarer to see two
well-known figures doing it. Whatever you do today, find the time to read
through the interview and remember that life is precious!
