Prince William Won’t Watch “Tiger King” for One Funny Reason

Published

on

Prince William participated in a funny video skit on Thursday, alongside famed English comedian and actor Stephen Fry in honor of BBC One’s charity special “The Big Night In”.

During the BBC Children In Need and Comic Relief show, which was put on in order to raise money to combat the novel coronavirus pandemic and to thank essential workers for their continual sacrifice on a daily basis, the prince joined a video call with the English actor.

The comedian who was part of the ’80s sitcom “Blackadder” revived his old character, Lord Melchett, for the special.

The Video Call

The Duke of Cambridge and the English actor joked around about the difficulties of Zoom calls, the “nightmare” homeschooling as well as the current TV shows.

“By the way, have you seen anything good on TV? It’s hell without ‘Eastenders’,” the Duke said. He was referring to the well-known BBC soap opera which cut back its regular broadcast schedule amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Isn’t it? They tell me ‘Tiger King’ is rather good,” said Fry, referring to the hit Netflix documentary that virtually took the world by storm.

But the Duke of Cambridge said with a straight face and a nod: “Yes, uh – I tend to avoid shows about royalty.” And that is true; Prince Williams once stated that he does not watch “The Crown.”

The Royal Applause

Prince Williams then dashed away to gather his entire family members so that he could lead them in appreciative applause for essential workers. They gave – and are still giving – their all in this coronavirus scourge. The royal also suggested that he had to round up some items of clothing as well.

“Let me just see if I can find my sock. And my shoes. And my trousers!” the Duke quipped before they all stepped outside to start clapping.

Prince George, Kate Middleton, Princess Charlotte, and little Prince Louis stepped outside Ammer Hall, the family home, to clap for the National Health Service and other care providers.

Prince Charles and the Duchess’ Contributions

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, also released a video as part of their nation’s “Clap for Our Carers” effort. The video showed the two walking out of their home in Scotland before they began to cheer.

Toward the end of the video, the Duchess starts to have a little fun with the clapping and soon gets a beat going.

“The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay have joined the nation once again to show their continued appreciation and support for all the NHS staff and other key workers on the frontline of the battle against coronavirus,” stated the tweet from the two which also used one of their Scottish titles. “Thank you!”

The Duke and Duchess recently spent time in self-isolation as they stayed apart at their estate in Scotland after the heir to the British throne tested positive for COVID-19 last month.

The excellent health of the 71-year-old future King played a crucial role in helping him combat COVID-19.

New Adam McKay Movie Gets Star-Studded Cast

New Adam McKay Movie Gets Star-Studded Cast

Adam McKay is a brilliant director with his own sense of humor and intensity. The filmmaker has previously made films like Don’t Look Up, Vice, The Other Guys, and the Anchorman series. Now, the director has come up with a brand new project and a brilliant cast of great actors. The film has been rumored and talked about for months before finally being revealed. It will star the likes of Rober Downey Jr., Danielle Deadwyler, Robert Pattinson, and many other A-listers from Hollywood. What is the film all about? It’s likely going to be another one of McKay’s topical comedies. Here’s more.

Average Height, Average Build

Average Height, Average Build

The film is titled Average Height, Average Build. It is meant to be a total rollercoaster ride that sees the world of a serial killer. It will be a part serial killer thriller as well as a part comedy, as is McKay’s usual style. It will see the killer use the powers of political lobbyists to bring a big change in the way laws to work. Why? All so he can kill people more easily and get about his serial killer ways.

McKay has recently made films that handle and talk about many sorts of crises. Satirical comedy is his best suit and was best reflected in his last few films, including Don’t Look Up, which talked about the current climate crisis, and The Big Short, which handled the housing crisis in America. Average Height, Average Build, handles the corruption and crime crisis that has become an everyday occurrence in America.

McKay has been working on this script for quite a while. He had previously mentioned how he wanted to write a script that talked about the “big, dirty money” that the world, and especially America, is so obsessed with. He has written the script now, which he then described as a comedy film.

There are no studios attached to the film as of yet. There will probably be multiple negotiations and offers for the film as the months go on. However, actors such as Pattinson, Amy Adams, Forest Whitaker, Danielle Deadwyler, and Robert Downey Jr. are already attached to the film.

A dark political thriller is an interesting idea, but studios see it as somewhat of a risky investment with the way politics is affecting the industry right now. While Don’t Look Up was just as star-studded, it was not received very well by critics. McKay has a great sense of humor and directs these satires, but studios are cautiously approaching this topic.

For this reason, reportedly, multiple studios have already passed on the film while some others are working out whether or not they want to be attached. If the film ends up finding no studios, McKay will have no choice but to go to a streamer which means paying his actors up front.

This has been the reason a lot of previously approached actors refused to be a part of the film right off the bat. However, plenty has stayed on board, exponentially increasing the project’s potential. McKay is planning to start the filming of the movie in Boston in late summer. He has hired cinematographer Todd Banhazl. The two have previously worked together on McKay’s HBO series Winning Time.

Even though Don’t Look Up was criticized, it still picked up two nominations. One for Best Picture and one for Original Screenplay. It’s interesting to note that an ensemble this powerful and a director this renowned facing trouble to get a project going is new. Hollywood has been in a sensitive place since COVID, and that has clearly changed a lot of things.

Courteney Cox Goes Monica Mode Cleaning Hollywood Stars on Walk of Fame

Courteney Cox Goes Monica Mode Cleaning Hollywood Stars on Walk of Fame

Courteney Cox is very well known by many as the iconic star of the popular 90s sitcom FRIENDS. The actress played Monica Geller, a character who was obsessed with order and cleanliness and was as competitive as it could get. Cox was recently given her own star on the Hollywood walk of fame and was joined by her friends as well as family members. It also included Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, two of her castmates from the show. She visited the walk of fame this Wednesday to clean the stars that had her and her friends’ names on them.

Courteney Was Always Monica

Cox has starred in films and shows after FRIENDS. However, it looks like her character never truly left her. Cox was recently awarded stars on the walk of fame, and now, Cox made a funny video cleaning the stars.

Someone’s gotta do it,she captioned the video of herself shining up her star as Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 played in the background. Was this a clever promotional job? The video featured Cox using her line of home cleaning products, Homecourt. She claims that her products are like “beauty products for the home,” well, that sounds like something only Monica could say.

Cox was often found going through people’s drawers and organizing and cleaning them on the set of FRIENDS. Now, she was seen cleaning the stars of her friends too. She would clean one and move on to another. She cleaned Reese Witherspoon’s star, who appeared in the show as Rachel’s sister before making her career in movies to come.

“Literally right on the star. You can go around!” she told pedestrians, trying to relive her time as Monica Geller on the set of FRIENDS, which aired its final and heartbreaking episode in 2004. The show had a brilliant run of ten years and made all the actors and actresses household names for everyone.

Lisa Kudrow

“Thanks for keeping us clean, Court!!,” said Reese Witherspoon, with Kudrow saying: “Only the best thing ever,” it’s interesting to note that Lisa Kudrow is the only leading cast member from FRIENDS not to have a Hollywood star on the walk of fame. She did, however, attend Cox’s ceremony and said kind words about her as her friend received her star. She talked about how Cox, Aniston, and she have been sisters to each other ever since they bumped into one another on the set of FRIENDS.

The cast of the show has rarely come together all at once. Last, they were seen together on Friends: The Reunion, a documentary that was an hour and a half long, where cast and crew members came together to reminisce their days of working on the show. Since then, there hasn’t been a single time when the whole cast was together.

Interestingly, the male members of the cast were also absent from Cox’s star reception ceremony. David Schwimmer has previously noted how the entire cast of FRIENDS has only been altogether only twice after the show ended back in 2004.

Monica Geller on the set of FRIENDS

Regardless, it seems like Cox has kept the heart and soul of her character alive. She was the first woman to say the word ‘period’ on TV and perhaps one of the first few to normalize things like OCD and being a neat freak. Today, Cox lives on, and the memory of everyone’s favorite, Monica Geller, still keeps going.

FRIENDS, in fact, was and still is so popular that it is still making the stars millions in residuals and also making Warner Bros a lot of money.
